I watched a BBC documentary about spectacled bears yesterday, and one of the reserves they visited was Chaparí. They also interviewed Rob Williams, a birder and former tour guide who has also settled in Perú.

It is great to see the communities supporting their wildlife like this and although it saddens me to see the bears having to be rescued I am glad they have friends to care for them.
