Carbon emissions are actually a very small persentage added to this accelleration of retreat, the glaciers were going to retreat with or without carbon emissions, dont get me wrong I am against carbon emissions and overpopulation but its too late the planet is busy with its natural cycle we can only watch while people continue to breed uncontrollably and fly around in jetplanes.

The glaciers are disappearing so fast. When I was in Arequipa last March I met a businessman who is involved with hydroelectricity. He typified the denial you mention. He told me that global warming is not real and that the fuss over glaciers melting is an exaggeration: “The glaciers are always receding and coming back,” he said. “This is part of the natural cycle.”

I wonder what that guy is saying now.
