		<description><![CDATA[This is a very similar situation in Arequipa, not so much torrents of water washing away homes, but torrents of molten lava should the Misti erupt.

People have built their homes in lava tributaries and the municipalities have done nothing to prevent the dangerous urban sprawl.

I guess property taxes are more important than people&#039;s safety in both cases.]]></description>
