When I was a small boy my mother told me about Unlce Rubin who came from Peru.
My aunt said he had a restaurant in San Isidro and it was where he lived.
He is seen at a banquet in a photograph in Lima during the 1920s or 1930s.
There are old stories about the Pisco drinks from the old Hotels.Family have told me that my uncle owned the old Hotel Bertolotto.Who is to say that this is not the place where the famous drinks were made? This old Hotel Bertolotto was famous and there is a mystery about it.Perhaps someone would be enlightening enough to read this and let us know more about it!?
