Perhaps the government can take the step in making sure all fishing boats leaving the shore are checked for any poisons, or the like that can be used to kill these beautiful creatures. This inspection can be very effective as it is with airlines that want to make sure a terrorist doesn't bring any explosives or dangerous other items on board. Meanwhile, I hope those so called fisherman (who are really cowards) are punished. Hopefully, whales, or other animals won't get poisoned in the process by these despicable acts that should never be allowed.

Anytime a fisherman loses the ethics of the trade for profit, that is not good for anyone. Hold the anchovies on my Ceasar salad please, at least until these horrible acts are fished out.

This is outrageous. I wonder if the government and/or environmental organizations in Peru will impose penalties and establish regulations to monitor fishermen in these areas, as well as have some kind of punishment to deter future acts such as this one.
