Bsrranco is not a wealthy suburb of Lima. I think it would be more like middle-class even though I really don't care about classes and stuff related to that.

This place Cura Mori, which I have never heard of, seems to have traditions I am not familiar with northern Peru. Maybe the way they do things come from traditions in the Andes. And, the fact people live this lifestyle does not mean anything negative. People might enjoy the way they live, and thats why they keep their traditions

We tend to look at people that live like this and feel that they are missing out on something because they do not have paved roads, don't have an I-phone, aren't wearing the latest Juicy couture and so on. Then we realise that they are mostly living contented lives free of many of the stresses we city folk put ourselves under and have closer and better relationships with their community. There is a lot that we can learn from little towns like this.
