Stuart... Thank you again for you blog and excellent reporting.

For people like myself not living in Peru who love Peru it's people and culture you manage to keep me in touch with what's going on and what's most important.

I think it is wonderful that Peru is sending people to help Haiti. The experience Peruvians have in this type of disaster situation is next to none globally.

As a "developed" nation Peru needs to be involved globally and how wonderful that Peru is in a position to be able to assist (many countries on our planet are STILL not in this position).

As far as the Peruvian politicians going to Haiti... I feel it is of great importance that they do. It is when the leaders of nations see such catastrophes that their heart strings are pulled. Experiences like these humble humans.

Let us pray that the experience touches them and moves them to take further action in Haiti and that they also see potentially what can happen in Peru and begin to address the needs of Peruvian people more deeply from their hearts.

Let us ALL pray for Haiti and not be critical of any assistance given by any nation.

As citizens of planet earth we all need to work together.

Every little word and action counts to collectively making a difference.
