That sounds more like a political opinion to me. So just because you hate Al Gore, probably because you’re a republican, then everything that he says and does must be suspect? Including climate change? I actually don’t care what Gore has to say about the subject, though I admit the movie is a decent representation of the science behind it, which is the important thing, THE SCIENCE. You claim you know “facts”, by all means, tell me what those facts are, but first get your science facts right: http://ir.pe/3q1w.

Just so you know, I’m not defending Al Gore. For all I know, he could be indeed pushing an agenda, but one man’s agenda doesn’t worry me as much as what GOVERNMENTS are going to do about this global problem.

I’ve given up on trying the wake up the sheeple, but I really hate Ale gore and his whole agenda. Try doing some in-depth research from non mainstream media and will see what Bruce Jorden is talking about when he say’s beware.

Mr. Gore must discuss the water situation in Peru and the strikes that have already led to a death. Building dams for hydropower in times of drought that ultimately take water from poorer areas to use to grow food that will be shipped abroad is simply something that must be addressed for the sustainability and security of Peru. Business opportunitites should include a way for the people to institute water saving technologies and conservation and other forms of renewable energy such as solar in order to conserve water for the people equitably. I hope this will be addressed.

And to the first poster here, this same misinformation about An Inconvenient Truth is placed all over the Internet as if the people doing it are either told to do it or paid to do it and it is getting boring to read everywhere I go to read news of Mr.Gore’s endeavors. The book as well as the movie was already deemed to be accurate on all of the important facts by climate scientists, and it was revealed that the case brought against him in Britain was fomented by the coal industry. It is a disgrace to see such targeted hatred for a man who has done nothing but work to now provide solutions to a crisis that is already many poorer countries first. This is not about the book, this is now about sustainable solutions for our survival.

Profiteers have long sought to discredit and villify Mr Gore through dissemination of disinformation. These effort have over time proven futile as the warming indicated is at length beyond reproach. We are seeing far too many indications in oceans and landmasses to ignore.

How bout fixing roads. The last time I was in peru (2 weeks ago) I had no huebos (balls). Each bump on the road made me think less of bringing my audi to peru. Well with that said, with absolutley no refrenece to going green in peru, I say plant those trees and make peru greener, please!

Stuart is absolutely right. But just to make things clear, I have to say that the movie is in fact mostly as true as Gore presents it, and that’s why it’s being used in some countries to teach students about the problems of climate change. The 9 errors are actually minor ones, and anyone can judge them by themselves, Wikipedia has a great summary: http://is.gd/fiUqm.

And about the overblown “climategate” affair, it’s been largely settled. After several investigations, the scientists were cleared from wrongdoing and the science was vindicated. Some newspapers even apologized for the accusations they made during the initial scandal.

It is inappropriate to promote this event of “An Inconvenient Truth” without any reference to the errors in fact and misrepresentations that are made in the film. These have been known and widely documented over years. In fact a court in the UK prohibited its use without acknowledgment of 9 of the most egregious of these errors. At this late date and particularly after the climategate papers last year, I would have hoped that you would at least make reference to the ‘inconvenient truth’ that Mr. Gore’s contention is hardly as true as he presents it.
