I have to agree with Robby after spending 6 months in Peru and have tasted many of their wines. Unfortunately they all still are of very low quality compared to what I'm used to in Europe. Even the expensive ones from 20-70 $ per bottle which is a lot of money in Peru are way too sweet and don't have much character. I do think Peru needs to keep up it's goal to make good wines so one day it might have quality wines to offer for the ever expanding world venue of great wine countries. It is a beautfiul country and it has a lot of potential.

Maybe, it is better for you to invest more time on reading a book or just in case that might be a hard to deal with issue for you, you'd better go MR school where you will be able to find specialists willing to help people like you, Warm regards from Peru.

Dear Enzo, It seems you are a quite proud argentinian "citizen"; nevertheless , I think you've have confused patriotism with chauvinism. Actually, being distinguished , fancy , classy or elegant is not related to lack of respect or looking people down. By the way , the word is "palate" and "people that has class" seems to be a quite different idea from the one you may want to express; maybe, being fancy classy as an adjective could be much better. Regarding wine well, I'm not a sommelier, personally I do prefer Chilean wine and argentinian which is not that bad and peruvian wine is ok but actually is imprving a lot.

This dumbass think everyobody is like him and his community of southern italian starving who wetn to A land were only a bunch of dorks lived. You freaking idiot couldn{t do any jewelry cause¨Your ancestors were monkeys.
The ancient cusltures of this territory now called Peru built an empire and conquered the north of the current argentinean territory, your ancestors were slaves of the Incas.
The first country to make wine in south america was Peru.
And the jewelry made by the ancestors of the peruvians like moches and chimmues and incas made the best gold and silver jewelry of the Americas that{s why most of the best museums of the world expose Peruvian ancient jewelry.
And last but no least we make Pisco and it{s as fine as most of the best brandies in USA and Europe.
Try again argie envious. And beg christina for food stamps,

Just got back from a vacation in Peru. I didn't get an opportunity to hit the vineyards, but I did do a lot of sampling Peruvian wines in local restaurants in Lima and Cusco. I found the quality to be good overall, but surprisingly expensive.

Could be just the general pricey-ness of Cusco, but it seemed that a decent bottle of Peruvian red was more expensive than its Chilean counterpart.
