T’ikapapa wins World Challenge 2007
Did you vote for the T’ikapapa project in the BBC-Newsweek’s World Challenge 2007?
If yes you’ll be pleased to know it has won first place. As winner, the project will receive $20,000 US from sponsors Shell to help continue and expand the work being done to help Peruvian potato farmers, who have an average income of under US $1 per day despite having the worlds best and biggest variety of potatoes.
As well as the prize money the project will be given the opportunity to further publicise its work in the Hague during an award ceremony.
